Our Admissions Process









To receive an admissions packet, please fill out our online form or call the Main Office at 203-776-2123 for more information.

Parents may also submit the application and Release of Records Form directly to Admissions at admissions@stthomasday.org.

Our admissions process starts in the fall prior to the year of enrollment.

Parents are welcome to visit our school during one of our Open Houses or Admissions Tours. Open Houses are an opportunity to meet parents, students, and staff and tour our facility. Admissions Tours give prospective families a chance to visit St. Thomas’s Day School while classes are in session. Open Houses and Admissions Tours are scheduled during November, December, and January.

2016-2017 Admissions Open House and Tour Dates

Open Houses:
Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 2-4 PM

Admissions Tours:  

Every Tuesday January 17- February 28

Parents are asked to complete and submit the application and Release of Records Form by February 6, 2017.  Upon receipt of the application, we will contact you to set up a parent meeting with the Head of School and to arrange for your child’s visit. Decisions regarding your application for admission are made in mid-March.

January through February:  Children applying to Kindergarten and Grade One attend a playgroup.  Children applying to Grades Two through Six will spend a full day at the school.

March:  Admissions notification will be mailed to all applicants on March 9, 2017.

April through August:  Round Two admissions will be made in those classes with available openings. Admissions may be made throughout the year in those classes with available openings.
