St. Thomas's Day School

Children from Kindergarten, through Grade Six, experience hands-on science in the Science Lab. Activities are coordinated by the full time Science Teacher. The small class sizes allow for a cooperative learning environment and the inclusion of all students in the process of Science.

The curriculum includes a wide variety of activities in each grade, and an extensive list of related field trips, which support the curriculum. The Science Festival, held in February, allows older children to explore concepts and present projects in a supportive environment.

The Science program allows all children to explore, discover and solve new problems at their developmental level. Children are encouraged to connect science concepts with the real world and to develop a personal interest in all aspects of Science.
