As part of the school curriculum, our students often participate in computer programming – or “coding” as it is otherwise known. “Coding” has become recognized as a basic skill that children need to learn to be successful in the world. Luckily, our students find it to be one of the “coolest” things they are doing in the classroom.

On December 7, our students participated in an Hour of Code, a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science where students take part in one hour of coding activities. During the Hour of Code, students were intensely involved in their work while also having fun. Most importantly, the activities encouraged positive collaboration.
